over my wings

"Kanatlarımın Üstünde" which means "Over my Wings" is a children's novel that I wrote and illustrated. The story is about a little sparrow which was born in a garden of the big city. He meets Olivos, a Greek house martin who comes to past the summer in the city. They become friends and when it is autumn, he wants to join to Olivos and see other cities, countries, the sea and other animals that he doesn't see in his town. During the story he lives many adventures and makes friends. He arrives to Egypte with Olivos and marries with an other sparrow...
As it is a child book, I used my naive watercolor technique to express the child-sparrow's universe. The story contains the messages about the choices in life and the friendship.
