a complete project of summer workshop organised by "Centre Culturel Français d'Izmir" (the Institute of French Culture). The logo and the poster of the event was designed by Pierre Cornuel, the french illustrator. Other ones had been applied harmonised to the brush style, Izmir identity colours : turquoise/cyan blue/light blue &white. Besides, as it is an litteral project for french teachers, the typography and layouts had serif characters et much more strict classical approach in a softer way because of "summer" and "izmir" (seaside, mild climate) keywords.

un projet complet de l'Université d'été Izmir organisé par le Centre Culturel Français d'Izmir. Le logo et l'affiche ont été crés par l'illustrateur&affichite Pierre Cornuel. Les autres declinaisons ont été effectué correspondant d'après le style à pinceau et les couleurs identifiants d'Izmir : turquoise/ cyan/ bleu clair & white. Et aussi, comme c'est un évenement pour les professeurs de français, la typograhie et les mises en pages ont eu des effets plutôt serieux et littéraire avec une séléction des polices elzevir avec une approche adoucie par la raison des keywords "été" et "izmir" (le climat doux, le bord de la mer).

Diger isler firçayla yapilmis çalismalara ve izmir'in renksel kimligine uyumlu olarak gerçeklestirildi : turkuaz/ siyan/ açik mavi&beyaz. Ayrica, fransizca ogretmenleri için yapilan bir faaliyet oldugu için serifli karakter ve ciddi sayfa tasarimiyla edebi bir yaklasima girilirken "yaz" ve "izmir" (yumusak iklim, deniz kenari) anahtar kelimeleriyle yumusatildi.

et voici une partie de l'article paru dans le journal de l'association : "En 2008 c'était la première fois qu'on a utilisé de tels affiches pour annoncer notre fête annuelle. Isikli est un jeune graphiste qui a grandi dans la bourgeoisie de Izmir, Smyrna dans le passé, sur les bords du mer Egéenne, dans le ouest de la Turquie. Selon les légendes c'est le lieu où est né Homerus. D'ailleurs, le nom de son père est dérivé du nom de ce héros (Homerus > Homer > Omer) et le nom de son chien rend hommage au dieu grec Dionysus: Dion. Pour ainsi dire, on conserve vivant l' âme grecque. Faut pas oublier que la Grèce est tout près, plus ou moins 70 kilomètres de Chios. Il a fait ses études à l'université de Bilkent, à Ankara et il a aussi fait des études dans la ville de Montauban à IUP Arts Appliqués lié à l'Université de Toulouse-le-Mirail. En 2008 il était deuxième dans un compétition pour projet de couverture de Mopak, l'établissement turc de cahier d'école. Il était plusieurs fois au Flandres, à Gand, Bruges et Bruxelles. Il parle pas mal la langue grecque et s'intéresse à la culture grecque; dans la région de Izmir on retrouve beaucoup de restants (pour mentionner quelques: Ephèse, Bergamo, Focia). Les artistes grecs comme Mario Frangoulis (tenor) et Eleftheria Arvanithaki sont parmis ses favoris. Pour le dire avec ses propres mots: "J'aime bien d'entendre le grec et la musique grecque qui rechauffe mon coeur avec pleine de joie de vivre. Je comprends encore une fois que j'adore cette langue et sa culture sentimentale, naïve, un peu brute et sincère." La nourriture grecque, la musique grecque et la danse grecque sont toujours les ingrédients de notre fête annuelle. Pour l'affiche de 2008 est focalisé sur la danse et l'affiche est réalise en technique vectorielle. L'affiche fait parler l'imagination (expression): un danseur grec, comme on retrouve sur les vases grecques, sur un fond de vagues blues, se référant au mers grecques et le ciel grec toujours bleu. Pour l'affiche de cet année est focalisé sur la nouriture grecque. Une affiche pour la fête d'aout sur petit format (A4) sera distribué avec notre periodique edition juillet. The party of "Kilizman Tabu Gecesi" happened in May 31st 2008 by the organisation and design of Hasan Isikli, the illustrator, graphic designer and conceptual designer.
The place, Kilizman Villa has been engaged after a presentation to Miss. Nihal Yesilturna, the governor of the villa which belongs to Mrs. Fatma Yesilturna.
The general concept of the party consisted of two components. First, the Kilizman Villa, a bourgeois country house which was degenerated, having a wild look after the fire that it had been. Second item was "Tabu"; a popular game played by groups which means a friendly atmosphere.
The mixture of two titles provided a special contrast bringing a balance in a whole: gloomy – lightly, mat – shiny, horrible – happy, natural – artificial. The wild part was generated by branches of trees, the stones and the leaves whereas the friendly joyful ambiance was in the game room, dining room and also in the bathroom. It has been installed the balloons, the five colour covers; red, yellow, blue, green and orange which signify the diversity and the dynamism of the game and specially, the graphic applications such as signs, poster and other graphical concept installations.
Between the people who participated to the party, there was Seda & Mete Capanoglu, the fondator of the textile mark "River", Enver Erinç; the model designer and the director of buying and selling with ISO in "Ulusoy Pompalari"and the drummer Can Hakan Vermezoglu. The people entertained by the musics of DJ Zeynep Kiliç and had an unforgettable night.

mopak notebook cover competition

Whan I saw the competition annonce sheet, I reminded my school days and I thought that it would be joyful to participate to the competition eventhough I have nothing at the end. First of all, I looked at to the web page of MOPAK company, then again the sheet. There was no specific age target, neither sex. So, I decided to illustrate a notebook cover which would be pleased by a teenage girl, a young boy, a little boy but also a little girl...It seems not easy, because each one has a different taste, different style. Also, I realized that the notebook cover would motivate the pupil/student to open it so that she/he wants to work. at least, I wanted that the student shall not be annoyed during the lesson even in history. Because, she/he could look at the faces, add some bears, moustache or glasses or other things that we used to do. Besides, observing the increasion of extremist nationalim in the world pushed me to put the people all around the world. In spite of the media, the world is not consists of some popular countries. If I tell about he technic, I chose oil pastel, because it has a special texture which provides a naif result with bright hues. At the above, you will see the details of the composition.
